National Academies Press new publication, A Framework for K-12 Science Education: Practices, Crosscutting Concepts, and Core Ideas, outlines expectations for students in science and engineering in K-12, and the revisions to curriculum, instruction, assessemnt and professional development for educators that needs to occur to meet these expectations.
